Fewer Customers, More Attention

For more than 52 years, S&B has been a second-generation, family-owned manufacturer, and we’ve stayed selective on purpose. Across four facilities and 140,000+ square feet, we serve about 50 to 60 active customers, mostly OEMs running engineered products on repeat production programs. That keeps our attention where it belongs: on your parts, your schedule, and your next program.

Our Account Managers

Building Partnerships for 50+ Years

But don’t take our word for it. Hear from the procurement and supply chain teams who count on S&B, some of them for more than two decades.

“S&B Metal has been a highly valued supplier partner for over 25 years. The custom sheet metal and machined parts they provide us are high quality at a fair price. We always know we can count on S&B!”

Joe Bass

Purchasing Manager, Kegel LLC

“I began working with S&B Metal Products in 1995, sourcing stainless steel fabricated and welded components, and our relationship has continued across multiple companies, industries, and applications. Over the years, S&B has consistently proven to be a reliable partner for high-quality, low-to-mid-volume fabrication and welded products.”

Rick Jackson

Category Manager, Mueller Water Products

“S&B has been a valued supplier partner and has provided support across multiple projects requiring fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly services. Their experience in custom metal fabrication and willingness to work closely with our engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams has contributed positively to project execution.”

Sandi Meireles

Senior Manager Supply Chain, Bartelt Packaging

“Working with Phil and the team at S&B now for several Months as a Buyer in the manufacturing industry. My experience with the folks at S&B in Lakeland, Fl has been great. They’re response times to confirmations, quotes, and general communication is prompt and on point. Their work is great as well, failures at FAI points and customer complaints at installation or assembly have not been a factor. They’re attentive to our needs as well as the detail associated with our orders.”

Buyer

Complex Assemblies. Real Problems Solved.

When an assembly is too complex for a typical job shop, OEMs bring it to S&B. These are a few of the challenges we’ve solved together.

Protecting Customer Production

The challenge:

An overloaded Q4 schedule and shifting material needs meant the parts scheduled to ship weren’t always the parts the line needed most.

What we did:

Worked directly with the customer to rank parts by urgency, then reset our production schedule to build the critical components first.

The result:

Critical parts arrived when the line needed them, which helped prevent shortages and keep production moving.

Engineering a Domestic Alternative

The challenge:

A customer importing parts from Denmark needed a U.S. second source for a part requiring metric square tubing and specialized machining.

What we did:

Developed custom metric tubing with our material suppliers and simplified the design to remove unnecessary machining.

The result:

A more competitive domestic source that diversified the customer’s supply chain beyond overseas suppliers.
